Entry IDs for territories

Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are U.S. jurisdictions. For U.S. citizens, a trip there is generally treated as domestic air travel: REAL ID-compliant identification (or a passport) as TSA requires, not a tourist visa. REAL ID enforcement at checkpoints has been in force since May 2025. Confirm current TSA ID rules before you fly — they change. Checkpoint habits (shoes, liquids) are on TSA checkpoint.

A passport is still the simplest document if you have one. It is not a souvenir requirement invented by this site.
