Packing

This is not a 47-item influencer list. Domestic U.S. trips and territory getaways share a bag:

ID you can fly with (see territory entry and TSA checkpoint).
A layer for airports and night buses. Island humidity does not cancel a cold gate.
Reef-safe sunscreen if you are getting in the water; park-safe shoes if you are not. You can leave the shoes on at TSA unless an officer says otherwise.
Medications in original bottles; a paper backup of reservations.
Rain shell in hurricane season and on the Pacific coast. Fashion can wait.
Carry-on liquids still follow 3-1-1 (3.4 oz / 100 ml containers, one quart bag). That rule did not leave with the shoes-off rule.
